The company has yet to confirm the app, but a series of screenshots from Sonny Dickson, a source for past Apple leaks, depict what looks like a comprehensive support app. The images were originally published by tech blog uSwitch.com.
According to the screenshots, the app looks to largely mimic the functionality of Apple’s support website. That means you’ll be able to do simple troubleshooting of common problems, chat with support specialists, arrange to send in your device for a repair, and schedule Genius Bar appointments, among other…

We’ve been waiting for a feel-good story about competitive overclocking for a while.
Officially known as 87 Clockers, it’s the story of a talented violinist named Kanade Ichinose who falls into the high-stakes world of overclocking, drawn by the promise of fast women and faster processor speeds.
It’s basically The Fast and the Furious for desktop hardware, especially once you get to the black market that apparently exists in computer components. (Maybe it’s set before Newegg?) There’s also a lot of liquid nitrogen coolant and a figure named Mike who seems to be so powerful that people are keeping tabs on him from space.
Easily the best hardware-modification manga you’ll read this weekend. Hopefully we can get a…
Fallout 4 secrets continue to be uncovered. The latest example is a harpoon-style gun that a modder discovered when rooting through the RPG’s files. The animations look a little dodgy, suggesting this gun was not meant to be discovered, at least not yet.
Modder xxdeathknight72xx (via Kotaku) found the weapon, which replaces the Railway Gun if you have it in your arsenal. Interestingly, a bubble animation surroundings kill, suggesting Bethesda might have envisioned an underwater sequence in Fallout 4. The video’s host, Tryannicon, also surmises that it’s possible this weapon may be featured in Fallout 4’s upcoming DLC and wasn’t mean to be found just yet.
It’s becoming harder and harder to make it through a week of new releases without an album being deemed a “surprise.” In its purest form, a surprise release occurs when an artist takes their new music and unleashes it on the internet without so much as a warning or a single. You look up at the iTunes store and there’s a bunch of new material from an artist you like, waiting to be purchased. Beyoncé is often credited with popularizing the trend with the release of her eponymous 2013 LP, the one that went on to sell almost a million copies in three days of digital sale; My Bloody Valentine pulled a similar trick almost a year earlier with their comeback effortm b v. (Kevin Shields had talked about mastering the LP a few months earlier,…
Gravity Rush’s Remastered version is in development at Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection studio Bluepoint Games. The HD version sports 1080p graphics and comes with the following expansions:
Gravity Rush was one of the best games released for PlayStation Vita early in its lifespan (and was originally meant to land on PS3). It’s an action-platformer where players are able to manipulate gravity–hence the title.
As GameSpot’s review noted at the time, the combat was somewhat lacking, although the game’s visuals were widely lauded, and with good reason.
The internet and technology have totally changed sex and relationships, we know you — you adults, anyway, this column is not for children! — have questions about the world of sex. In order to answer them, we’ve asked our friend Stoya — a professional sex-haver — to field any inquiries. You can write to her at [email protected].
Are you at least 18 years old?
My girlfriend (3 months) and I just broke up because I wouldn’t let her read text messages between a female friend of mine and me. I’d like to get your take on whether and when a person should be entitled to view the private communications of his or her significant other.
Yesterday I received text messages from two different girls in relatively short…
Bloodborne expansion The Old Hunters arrives next week, but you don’t want to wait that long to learn more about it. Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa has shared new details in a post on the PlayStation Blog.
First, he talked about some of the menacing enemies you’ll face, which include an ancient hunter named Brador and a hulking foe called the Bell Holder. “Brador is an ancient Hunter and assassin once employed by the Healing Church who sits in a dark cell, waiting for something–or someone–with bell in hand,” Yamagiwa said. “And while exploring the new nightmare, beware of the Bell Holder. This massive enemy wields the Bell Axe and is one of the most formidable beasts you will face.”
As for the new weapons coming to Bloodborne through The Old Hunters, the first of these is called the Bloodletter. It’s described as a “sick and demented” weapon that Brador wields.
“This weapon assumes its true form after drawing upon the blood of its wielder. In other words, you must plunge it into your own chest in order to unleash its true power,” Yamagiwa said.
Another new weapon is the Gatling Gun. It’s a powerful, enemy-stopping weapon, but it’s somewhat unwieldy and rips through ammo very quickly, Yamagiwa warns.
Also included with the The Old Hunters is a rune called The Beast’s Embrace.
“After many failed experiments, this rune was forbidden from use. That did not stop its discovery from becoming the foundation of the Healing Church, however,” Yamagiwa said. “Those brave, or foolish, enough to unleash the power of this rune take on a ghastly form and enjoy boosted transformation effects, especially when wielding a beast weapon.”
Yamagiwa also provided step-by-step instructions for how to access The Old Hunters content inside of Bloodborne. These steps are outlined below, while accompanying images are available here.
Step 1: Defeat the boss of the Cathedral Ward and examine the altar in the back of the room to change the in-game time to night.
Step 2: Go to the Hunter’s Dream and receive the Eye of a Blood-drunk Hunter from a messenger.
Step 3: Go to the Oedon Chapel and leave via the left-hand exit to enter the square.
Go to the right-hand end of the square to trigger an event. This event will take you to the new area: the Hunter’s Nightmare.
Lighting the lamp in the new area will allow you to travel to and from the area via an Awakening Headstone in the Hunter’s Dream
The Old Hunters tells the story of the “legendary hunters” referenced in the main game and is set in a “nightmare world where hunters from the past are trapped forever.” Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida described Bloodborne: The Old Hunters as a “full-scale download.”
It launches on November 24 and costs $19.99 / €14.99 / £11.99.
Driving the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is a bit like listening to Prince. It’s mind-blowingly good, but sometimes it’s just staggeringly inappropriate.
In my time with it earlier this month, the 4C was particularly good at tearing down through the Santa Monica Mountains towards the Pacific Coast Highway and the beaches of Malibu. Or when you stomp the gas and get the ass sideways on a (deserted) downtown LA street. These scenarios are where the little Italian sports car performs best.
The 4C, especially with the top ripped off, is a snarling, rasping, wheezing monster. I don’t know how this car passed the noise regulations, and frankly I don’t give a damn. Some engineers at Alfa thought that installing the tiny, rev-happy 1.7-liter…
