New The Green Knight Trailer Will Drop On Tuesday

The official Twitter account for The Green Knight, an upcoming medieval fantasy film due out this summer from distributor A24, has announced that the highly anticipated film will finally get its first trailer on Tuesday. Since last year, all fans have had to get a sense of the movie was a short teaser trailer released early February last year.

Before COVID-19 came along, The Green Knight was originally due out last May and was featured prominently in our list of the biggest upcoming movies of 2020. Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is a 14th century legend set during the time of King Arthur, in which a Knight of the Round Table enters into a deadly pact with an otherworldly being known as the Green Knight.

The Green Knight is directed by David Lowery, whose previous movies include the 2016 Disney remake of Pete’s Dragon and the 2018’s crime drama The Old Man & The Gun, which starred Robert Redford in potentially his final performance. The Green Knight also stars Joel Edgerton (Bright), Alicia Vikander (Tomb Raider), and Barry Keoghan (Dunkirk). The film was first announced back in 2018, and is currently due out July 30, 2021 and will reportedly clock in at 125 minutes. The new trailer should be thrilling, as last year’s stunning clip showcased how the movie intriguingly blends horror and fantasy.
